[News]China Releases First Civil UAS Technical Standards

China’s first civil unmanned aircraft system(UAS) technical standards were released in Shenzhen by the local UAV Industrial Alliance, which put to an end a long period when no regulations regarding UAV management ever existed.

Neither China nor other countries in the world have come up with a perfect mechanism regarding UAV management and operation. in China, an estimated 400 companies specialize in the production, sale or agency business of UAVs. However, different qualifications of all involved companies and the lack of universally accepted industrial standards bring potential risks to flight safety. It has broad and far-reaching significance to further promote domestic development of the UAV industry and to expand the applications field of UAS.
